The Salsa Navigation System.
Not a streaming service. A guide built for real Salsa fans.
Spotify shows you what’s popular. We show you what’s real.
Eight tools, one philosophy: every Salsa fan — from your first track to your fifty-thousandth — deserves a structure built around the music itself, not algorithm clicks.
Curated playlists. Filterable songlists. Deep artist archives. A community that knows what it’s talking about. AI that helps you find what you didn’t know you were looking for. And a quality engine that takes Salsa seriously.
Here’s how it all works.

Seven dimensions. One map of Salsa.
Spotify uses one tag: “Salsa.” That’s like calling every red wine “wine.”
But you wouldn’t pick a Cabernet the same way you’d pick a Pinot Noir. You wouldn’t drink a young Beaujolais the same way you’d drink a 30-year-old Bordeaux.
We treat Salsa the same way. Every track tagged across six dimensions, plus tempo. So when you’re looking for fast Cuban Timba from the 90s with high energy — the system knows exactly what you mean.
That’s why discovery here is guided. Not random.
32 sub-genres mapped — from Salsa Dura and Timba to Bolero, Mambo, Cha-Cha-Chá, Son, and beyond. Every musical root and style, properly distinguished.
10 dance styles tracked — NY On2, LA On1, Cali Style, Cuban Casino, Rueda de Casino, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Cha-Cha-Chá, Mambo, and beyond. The way dancers actually move.
60 regions covered — Cuba, Puerto Rico, Cali, Spanish Harlem, Tokyo, Berlin, Dakar, and dozens more. Salsa is global. Our map proves it.
11 eras documented — from the 1920s pre-Mambo roots through the 70s Fania boom to today’s revival sound. Every generation has its voice.
4 energy levels — Low, Medium, High, Explosive. From late-night ballads to pure dance-floor heat.
83 themes classified — across Love, Family, Society, Spirituality, Cities, Travel, Tributes, and more. Because what a song is about matters as much as how it sounds. No other platform tracks this.
75–200 BPM. The numerical truth — for DJs, dancers, and anyone who wants exact control.
Playlists, curated by experts.
The way Salsa was meant to be heard — guided, contextual, intentional.
Open a playlist. You don’t get a random shuffle. You get a story.
Each playlist is built by someone who knows the music — a curator who chose every track, sequenced them with intention, and wrote the context that ties them together. You learn while you listen.
Browse by category: Editorial picks, DJ Archive collections, Dance Style explorations, Community favorites. Filter by Genre, Era, Energy, Region.
When you finish, you’ve heard something complete. Like reading a great album review and then finally hearing the album yourself.

Songlists. Built by you.
Filter, mix, save, share. The way DJs and dancers actually work.
Need 90 minutes of high-energy Salsa Dura from the 70s for tonight’s class? Filter Era → 70s, Genre → Salsa Dura, Energy → High, BPM → 95–110. Done.
Want a sad bolero set with songs about heartbreak from Cuban orchestras? Theme → Love & Relationships → Desamor. Region → Cuba. Energy → Low. There it is.
This is what filters across seven dimensions actually let you do. Mix any combination. Save the result as a Songlist. Share it with the community. Submit it for editorial review — and if three curators agree, your list becomes a published Playlist on the platform.
Built for DJs preparing sets. Dancers planning practice. Coleccionistas finally finding what they always knew was there.
Build it. Save it. Or send it forward.
Artist Archive. The encyclopedia.
5,000 artists. Real biographies. Real discographies. Real depth.
Open an artist page. You don’t get a Wikipedia stub. You get the full picture.
Adalberto Santiago — born 1937, San Juan. Twelve albums under his own name. 25 documented songs across the platform. Sang lead with Ray Barretto, Fania All-Stars, Típica 73, Los Kimbos. Voice characterized by warmth, flexibility, and precise phrasing.
Then drill in. Most Popular Songs sorted by community ratings. Best Rated Songs separately. Collaborations with other artists. Full Discography with album covers, year, genre, dance style, BPM.
Browse by Country, Genre, Era. Filter by album count. Sort by song count. Search by letter. Find every artist who recorded with Pacheco. Find every Cuban orchestra from the 80s. Find what Discogs and Spotify can’t even attempt.
This is what 30 years of building looks like.
Every artist. Every album. Every track. Connected.
Built by fans. With fans.
Your taste. Your knowledge. Your contribution. Rewarded.
Spotify treats you as a listener. We treat you as a contributor.
Create your own Songlist. Share it publicly. Get rated by other fans. Earn points. Climb the badge tiers — Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. Win discounts on monthly membership. Win the monthly Community Award.
Your favorite Songlist gets three votes from curators? It enters Editorial Review. If selected, it becomes a published Playlist on the platform — with your name on it.
You also help improve the data. Spot a wrong genre tag? A missed dance style? A region misidentified? Submit a correction. If three other curators agree, the change is applied. You earn 50 points.
This isn’t a comment section. This is a curation engine.
The community doesn't watch. The community builds.
Describe it. Say it. Find it.
The smartest Salsa search ever built.
“Romantic 80s Salsa from New York.”
“Fast Cuban Timba for an advanced dance class.”
“Sad boleros for a rainy night.”
Type it or say it. The AI matches your request across our seven dimensions and shows you exactly what fits — ranked by match percentage.
Playlists. Artist Mixes. Songlists. All scored against your description.
Because sometimes you don’t know the artist. You just know the feeling.

How we know the data is right.
Three AIs. One human curator. Zero shortcuts.
250,000+ tracks, 5,000 artists and orchestras. 83 themes. The numbers only matter if the data is right.
So we built a verification system Spotify doesn’t have. Every track passes through three AI models that don’t agree by default — and a human curator who has the final say.
Here’s how it works.
Every track is analyzed by ChatGPT and Claude independently. They tag it across all seven dimensions: genre, dance style, region, era, energy, theme, tempo. When they agree, the tag is solid.
Two systems. Two perspectives. Cross-checked from the start.
When ChatGPT and Claude disagree — different genre, conflicting energy reading, debatable theme — Gemini steps in as the third referee. It reviews both perspectives, weighs the evidence, and makes the call.
Three minds. One outcome. No tie-breaker by coin flip.
For low-confidence cases, the system pulls from a Salsa-specific AI knowledge base — built from books, album reviews, lyric archives, and historical sources. Then a human curator validates.
Especially for theme tags, where lyrics matter. AI can map sound. Humans confirm meaning.
Technology enables scale. Humans define quality.
Built by someone who's been listening for 30 years.
Not a tech company that decided to build a music app. A Salsa fan who happens to know how to build software — and who got tired of waiting for someone else to do it right.
You've seen it. Now try it.
The live demo is running. Open it, click around, build a Songlist, browse the Artist Archive. See how seven dimensions feel when they’re actually working. If you’re an investor or strategic partner — request access to the full investment memorandum, financials, and roadmap.
